Did you know I started writing my first novel as part of National Novel Writing Month? It’s true! Was it a magical experience? Oh, hell no! But it worked!
I’ve gotta say, A Blue Million Books blog is mighty generous. They’re my host for the third stop on my blog tour today (Wednesday) with Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours, and they’ve given me enough real estate for an interview, a guest post, and an excerpt from Unscripted. Wow!
So if you’re curious to know why the main character is named Faith Sinclair (there is a reason!) and what her name was originally (and why I had to change it), or if you want to read an excerpt featuring surly TV studio gate guard, Bea, head on over!
Thanks “a million”, Blue Million!
I love my second rom com, Unscripted. Truly, I do. I love the main character, Faith, a ballsy TV producer with a take-no-prisoners attitude. I love her love interest, Mason, a very hot, not-at-all-dusty/musty college professor. I love her charming freeloader of a stepbrother, Mason’s odd collection of film students, even Faith’s gorgon of a movie producer mother. The story, which involves Faith being fired from her TV show and moving heaven and earth to get her job back, was fun to write, and I sincerely hope readers enjoy it just as much.
To that end—to find folks who would love Faith & Co. as much as I do—I hooked up with the wonderful Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours, and my blog tour got under way this week! I’m so excited I could just squee. In fact, I think I will.
Okay, now that that’s out of the way…
If you want to know more about Unscripted, head on over to the lovely blogs that are featuring reviews, interviews, excerpts, and guest posts by yours truly. I’ll be at a different blog each day for a while. Please read until I tell you to stop. Wait, no—in fact, don’t stop!
Awww this is too nice! Fab Fantasy Fiction liked the advance copy of Down on Love so much, they read Unscripted—and it turns out they like that one, too! Here’s their absolutely fabulous review! :)
Fab Fantasy Fiction says, “How could I not love Down on Love?” Well all rightie then! Sharin’ the love…check out the wonderful review! Thanks, FFF!
Today I’m visiting Juliette Cross’ blog, Books, Baubles, and Bad Boys, talking about…guess what? G’wan, guess. You’ll never…oh wait. Yes, you will. Well, go check it out anyway! It’s a great blog, with lots of fun interviews by authors who love to talk about…well, you know. :)
Hey, I’ve got a guest post up at RWA’s Contemporary Romance blog today: “My Heroes Have Always Been Betas”. Stop by and check it out, won’t you?
I never thought I’d say this, but I can’t wait for November to get here. What? Bypass October in all its Northeastern multihued glory? Skip the trip to the pumpkin patch? the falling leaves? the mayhem that is trick-or-treating in my village (a 15-bags-of-candy-night at minimum)? a whole month’s worth of pumpkin spice lattes?
Well, yeah…except maybe the pumpkin spice lattes. But no, even those. Because my third book, Down on Love, comes out November 21. I’m so excited for this release, especially because over the past couple of weeks my small-town rom com has gotten some really nice advance reviews. Check ’em:
Tome Tender (4 out of 5 stars): “[The small town of] Marsden puts the ‘M’ in meddling. [A] fabulously funny, heart warming story with characters that you want to call friends.”
StarAngel (4 1/2 out of 5 stars): “What a wonderful heartfelt story….I never wanted this book to end because there were so many ‘Ahhh’ moments.”
The Chiq Blog* (5 out of 5 stars): “Fantabulous!…Read this book now!”
* Chiquita also graced me with my first animated GIF in a review—eeee! And the GIF was from Friends! Double plus good!
Anyway, I realize November 21 is quite a long way away, but if you’re so inclined, there’s always the magic of preordering…! Links are here for your ebook of choice. In the meantime, I’ll be over here, under a blazing orange tree and a brilliant blue sky, guzzling a pumpkin spice latte and marking the days off on the calendar… :)
