New Book Release: Madness Takes Its Toll

Standard

Picture This (eBook)Here we go again. In just about four weeks, my fourth book will be released. It’s called Picture This, and it’s the second in my small-town rom com series, following Down on Love, which came out last November. When I wrote Down on Love, I didn’t think of it as anything more than a standalone. After I turned in the final draft, my editor at Kensington asked if I would make it a series, with one of the minor characters— Celia Marshall, the hero’s ex-girlfriend—as the main character.

100 Percent Organic (Invisible) Author

I swear, it’s stuff like this that just turns me all around. TheGirlWhoLovesBooks posted a screen shot of an e-mail blast she received from a noted author (who shall remain nameless) asking for something that beggars belief. Go take a look—it’ll open in a new window. I’ll wait. Read the rest of this entry

Blurb-a-roonie, just in case you need more convincing:

One of Hollywood’s hardest working women is about to discover there’s a lot more drama behind the camera than in front of it…

Faith “Freakin’” Sinclair probably shouldn’t have called her boss a perv…or grabbed his “privates.” But as creator of the hit dramedy Modern Women, she’d had enough of his sexist insults. Now she’s untouchable in the industry—not in a good way. The only way to redeem herself is to convince Alex, the wildly popular, wildly demanding former star of her show, to come back. But there’s one obstacle in her way—one very handsome, broad-shouldered obstacle…

Professor Mason Mitchell is head of the theater department where Alex is studying “real” acting. The only way he’ll let Faith anywhere near Alex is if she agrees to co-teach a class. It’s an offer she can’t refuse—and as it turns out, the professor just might end up teaching Faith that there’s more to life than work—and that real-life love scenes are way more fun than fake ones….

Here’s the official blurb:

When it comes to love she’s a professional skeptic. Is it too late for a career change?

If there’s one thing Georgiana Down is an expert in it’s bad relationships. That’s what inspired her blog Down on Love where she gives snarky advice–usually along the lines of “dump him.” In fact George is abstaining from men all together. At least that’s the plan–until she makes a trip back to her tiny hometown in the Catskills where meddling is an art form. . .

George loves helping out with her new baby niece but she’s counting the days until she returns to Boston. Then she runs into Casey Bowen her high school crush. The boy she once loved is now a handsome grown man–and suddenly George needs a little advice of her own. She’s in the right place because when she drunk posts on her blog everyone in Marsden has something to say about George and Casey. It’s like high school all over again–but maybe this time she’ll get things right. . .

Plus we did a lovely Q&A, wherein I share the most sexist insult I ever received. Well, it may not have been the most insulting, but it sure stuck with me the longest (since college!) Find out what it is, and other nifty tidbits about Unscripted at today’s Chick Lit Plus blog tour stop!

So I’m on This Blog Tour…

Standard

unscrcover smallI love my second rom com, Unscripted. Truly, I do. I love the main character, Faith, a ballsy TV producer with a take-no-prisoners attitude. I love her love interest, Mason, a very hot, not-at-all-dusty/musty college professor. I love her charming freeloader of a stepbrother, Mason’s odd collection of film students, even Faith’s gorgon of a movie producer mother. The story, which involves Faith being fired from her TV show and moving heaven and earth to get her job back, was fun to write, and I sincerely hope readers enjoy it just as much.

To that end—to find folks who would love Faith & Co. as much as I do—I hooked up with the wonderful Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours, and my blog tour got under way this week! I’m so excited I could just squee. In fact, I think I will.

Squee!

Okay, now that that’s out of the way…

If you want to know more about Unscripted, head on over to the lovely blogs that are featuring reviews, interviews, excerpts, and guest posts by yours truly. I’ll be at a different blog each day for a while. Please read until I tell you to stop. Wait, no—in fact, don’t stop!
