Happy Blogiversary, Hello Chick Lit!

Standard

Yay! It’s Hello Chick Lit’s blogiversary month, and I’m part of the celebrations all week!

Today I have a guest post about…letters. The honest-to-post-office kind. When was the last time you received a handwritten letter in the mail? Or wrote one? I got one a few weeks ago, and it was a doozy.

So stop by Hello Chick Lit and check it out and, while you’re there, be sure to enter the contest to win digital copies of all three of my Marsden books! See you over there!

Meet My Feline Overlord

Standard

So the Happy Ever After blog at USAToday has this nifty little series going called “Authors and Their Pets.” I would have named it “Authors and Their Masters,” but hey, whatever we need to believe that lets us sleep at night, you know?

Anyway, I was honored to have the opportunity to talk about my feline overlord, Jasmine, this week. She’s one heck of a taskmaster, even though she’s an old lady (19). Plus I talk a little bit about Jordan, the main character of my latest romcom, Lucky for You (Marsden 3), who adopts stray cats…a little too zealously. Head on over to my little piece at USAToday‘s HEA to find out more!

mrsmommy“And then there was the time I nearly gave up writing fiction altogether…”

What happened? Head on over to Mrs. Mommy Booknerd to find out. It’s the last stop on my Chick Lit Plus blog tour for Unscripted. Thanks, Chick Lit Plus! It was great! 🙂

Double Blog Tour Stops Today!

Standard

unscrcover smallIt’s true—I’m doing double duty on my Chick Lit Plus blog tour for Unscripted today! Yay!

First up, over at Change the Word, my guest post is all about my Writing Scarf (TM)! What’s that? Only my most secretest weapon in the war to make words. I can’t write without it.

Next, there’s a primo excerpt from Unscripted at Chick Lit Goddess. Check it out!

Thanks so much for having me, ladies! 🙂

Details, Details!

Standard

Physical description? Of course. Type of home? Okay. Designer clothes/shoes/handbag preference? Yeah yeah sure sure. But you can also say a whole lot about a character by carefully choosing what make and model cars they drive! No, really! Get the details in my guest post at Brooke Blogs, today’s Chick Lit Plus blog tour stop for Unscripted!

NaNoWhatNow?

nanoDid you know I started writing my first novel as part of National Novel Writing Month? It’s true! Was it a magical experience? Oh, hell no! But it worked!

I’m over at Julie Valerie’s blog on day 4 of my Chick Lit Plus blog tour for Unscripted talking about what my first NaNo experience was like. Plus there’s an excerpt from Unscripted! Bonus!

Give Her Space, and She Will Yammer

BlueMilltagI’ve gotta say, A Blue Million Books blog is mighty generous. They’re my host for the third stop on my blog tour today (Wednesday) with Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours, and they’ve given me enough real estate for an interview, a guest post, and an excerpt from Unscripted. Wow!

So if you’re curious to know why the main character is named Faith Sinclair (there is a reason!) and what her name was originally (and why I had to change it), or if you want to read an excerpt featuring surly TV studio gate guard, Bea, head on over!

Thanks “a million”, Blue Million!

So I’m on This Blog Tour…

Standard

unscrcover smallI love my second rom com, Unscripted. Truly, I do. I love the main character, Faith, a ballsy TV producer with a take-no-prisoners attitude. I love her love interest, Mason, a very hot, not-at-all-dusty/musty college professor. I love her charming freeloader of a stepbrother, Mason’s odd collection of film students, even Faith’s gorgon of a movie producer mother. The story, which involves Faith being fired from her TV show and moving heaven and earth to get her job back, was fun to write, and I sincerely hope readers enjoy it just as much.

To that end—to find folks who would love Faith & Co. as much as I do—I hooked up with the wonderful Chick Lit Plus Blog Tours, and my blog tour got under way this week! I’m so excited I could just squee. In fact, I think I will.

Squee!

Okay, now that that’s out of the way…

If you want to know more about Unscripted, head on over to the lovely blogs that are featuring reviews, interviews, excerpts, and guest posts by yours truly. I’ll be at a different blog each day for a while. Please read until I tell you to stop. Wait, no—in fact, don’t stop!
